Scent fences are an environmentally friendly solution to prevent damage caused by wildlife on your property. Moreover, they do not harm the animals, they only deter them from entering the property.
A scent fence consists of three pieces - a wooden stake, on which a metal adapter of the scent fence carrier is fixed, into which a carrier of a scent substance injected with a scent concentrate containing an active substance imitating the scent of a predator is inserted.
Thus, no electricity, batteries or generators are needed to operate or install the odour fence .
Composition of the odour carrier
We offer four types of odour carriers - PU foam, wood wool, biodegradable carrier BIO10-PO and biodegradable carrier BIO10-S.
PU foam odour carrier for odour barriers
The material of this odour carrier is polyurethane foam based on aromatic isocyanates:
- Polyols and aromatic isocyanates react together to form a strong, flexible structure and ensure the long life of the foam.
- The foaming agents help to form the correct structure and provide ideal lightness and porosity for the absorption of odourants
Although it may appear to be a similar material to mounting foam, the opposite is true. PU foam for odour barriers has open pores and satisfactory diffusion properties that conventional mounting foam does not possess. In addition, it is harmful to nature and animals when exposed to sunlight. Our PU foam, on the other hand, is stable and environmentally safe once properly cured.
Carrier for odour-proofing against moles and other rodents - wood wool rolls
Wood wool is a natural, environmentally friendly and completely biodegradable material made from soft woods with a low resin content to ensure the highest possible odour-containing effect. The fibrous and porous structure achieved by cutting into fine strips a few millimetres wide ensures effective absorption and release of the odour concentrate.
No chemicals or adhesives are used in the production process.
BIO10-PO and BIO10-S odour carriers for odour barriers
The material of these odour carriers is polyurethane foam based on aliphatic isocyanates:
- Polyols and aliphatic isocyanates ensure, by means of a mutual reaction, the long life of the foam and the firm, flexible structure of the resulting polyurethane
- The foaming agents promote the formation of the correct structure of the resulting foam, which ensures optimum lightness and porosity for effective odour absorption
Thanks to the aliphatic chain, these carriers are environmentally friendly and completely biodegradable, so you don't have to worry about contamination of your garden soil or pond water.
Composition of odour concentrates
The concentrates used for odour fences contain substances that mimic predator odour and fatty acids that ensure their dissolution. The odour concentrate itself is sealed using compressed air in a BOV (bag-on-valve) bottle.
